Fascial Release Wax has been developed in consultation with James Earls, international lecturer in fascial release technique and anatomy and has been in response to a need for a product with extra, tighter grip for extra tissue control.It gives the right amount of grip into the connective tissue, allowing the therapist to manipulate it in a wide variety of ways; lengthening, differentiating and mobilising it.

Fascia is the fibrous wrapping which contains and holds all of the elements of our body in place. As a live tissue it is able to adapt itself to mould our bodies into particular patterns that we create through movement, habit or in response to injury. This feature can lead to many postural problems and secondary compensations in the body, creating unique strain patterns and movement restrictions which are held within the fascia.

By using the Fascial Release Wax, the therapist can obtain the correct amount of grip and control on this tissue and the ability to stretch it, open it, move and separate it.

Formula includes Beeswax, Olive Oil, Almond Oil, Arnica, Calendula, Essential Oils of Manuka and Lemon. Also includes Hypericum.

Sports Massage Wax 20g

Sports Massage Wax is our most popular wax and is used by many therapists involved in sports and remedial massage, as well as many other types of massage. It is being used for massage work on players in first division football, rugby, cricket, swimming, ice-hockey, softball, track athletics, rowing and on jockeys – and these are the ones we know about! If you are a therapist using it for different sports teams – let us know.

Another reason why therapists use the Sports blend, even those who are not practising Sports Massage, is that it has a lemony/leathery scent – making it neither herbal or floral and so excellent for use on male and female clients without the issue of a ‘female’ or ‘male’ scent.

The essential oils in this formula are Manuka (Leptospermum scoperium) (from the same plant as Manuka honey)and Lemon
(Citrus limonum). Calendula Paste and Hypericum Infused Oil are also part of the formula.

Manuka essential oil comes from New Zealand and has a long history of use by the Maori people and is sometimes called the New Zealand Ti-tree.

Sports Massage Wax is a blend which is an excellent pre and post event massage medium, but also having a wider use for all sorts of different types of massage.

Cooling and Soothing 20g

Songbird Cooling and Soothing Balm is used for work on specific body areas. While not intended as an all over massage wax, Songbird Cooling and Soothing Balm applies easily and is commonly used by Professional Practitioners Remedial Bodyworkers for deep tissue work. Arnica, hypericum, yarrow and chamomile are ingredients used in the Cooling and Soothing Balm. Yarrow gives the formula it’s unusual dark blue colouring and menthol provides a cooling sensation in areas where it has been used. This product has a much higher percentage of Arnica in it, compared to the massage waxes.

Cautions
Cooling and Soothing Balme should not be used anywhere near the eyes and is contra-indicated for pregnancy.
